Should we change the way social media is regulated?

Our middle school students watched "The Social Dilemma" film in class and had a discussion about social media and data collection practices.

Many were surprised to learn that their Google search results are based on your location and what the Google algorithms think you will click on or want.

After watching the film and having a discussions, students learned the basics of GarageBand and created their first podcasts ever.  They where tasked at creating and outline of their response, but it was NOT allowed to be scripted.  Students needed to speak extemporaneously based on their short research notes.

This is the podcast of their responses to the final question, "Should be regulate the way social media is regulated?"
